1. How do you make students interested in learning English?
Students’ enthusiasm in class plays an important role in teaching and learning. As an English teacher, I will improve students’ enthusiasm in class from the following aspects.
First of all, in the warm-up part, I will impart useful and interesting contents, as well as adopt novel methods, such as videos, pictures, music, and games to attract students' interest and attention, so that students can actively focus on the lesson.
Secondly, in every part of the class, I always remember that students are the main body in learning. When I adopt different teaching methods, the goal is to mobilize the enthusiasm of students, so that students can actively study, master knowledge and improve skills.
Finally, I will always offer positive assessments of students' performance. Even if they make mistakes, I will not directly criticize them so that their thirst for knowledge and self-confidence can be protected.
2. Please introduce yourself.
I majored in English translation at XX University and just graduated in June this year with a Bachelor degree. During college, I have been engaged in English teaching part-time, both as an English teacher at a training institution and as a volunteer teacher at a rural school. The students like my lectures very much, which stimulates my love for education and makes me aspire to be an educator.
During my leisure time. I like reading different kinds of books, covering education, literature, medicine, etc. My favorite book is The End of Molasses Classes authored by Ron Clark. This book is very attractive, using various authentic teaching examples to illustrate that teachers should have high expectations for students, thereby students can make astonishing progress. This book has inspired me a lot during my teaching part-time experience, and will guide me in teaching in the future.
In my spare time, I also like doing some sports, such as jogging, yoga, and playing badminton with my friends.
