英语听说教学在英语教学中占有举足轻重的位置,撰写教学设计和试讲也是近年来教招考试中出现频率较高的考查形式,能够测出考生的语言功底和表达能力。故设计好一堂听说课是考生在面试中取得成功的第一步。本文以牛津版四年级上期Unit 5 Our New Home听说课为例进行教学设计,该教学设计以学生的现实生活为出发点和归宿点,旨在发挥学生的实际语言运用能力。

Teaching aims:

Knowledge aims:

Students can master how to ask price when they buy something and numbers.

Ability aims:

Students can use correct sentence to ask the price.

Students will pronounce these sentences correctly and improve their listening and speaking ability.

Emotional aims:

Students will develop correct attitude toward money.

Teaching key points and difficult points:

Key points:

Students can learn how to ask price in English when they buy something.

Students can read the number correctly in English.

Difficult Points:

Students can develop correct attitude toward money.

Teaching procedures:

Step 1 Warming up

Greet students and then sing a song Ten little Indians for students to lead in the topic: price.

(Justification:Sing a song can let the students pay their attention on the class , it can also stimulate their learning interests.)

Step 2 Pre-listening

Before listening, let the student review the knowledge they’ve learned in this unit and write the sentence on the blackboard. So they will be more familiar with the listening material.

(Justification: Students will be more confidence when they listen the tape because they are familiar with the listening material.)

Step 3 While-listening

Let the students listen the tape twice, they need to choose the best one from a,b and c when they are listening. When they finished, they need to listen it again to check whether they are right. And then let the student to check the question with their partners and give the reason. At last, tell students the right answer and the reason.

Let the student to listen the tape sentence by sentence and read after it.

(Justification: These questions are mainly designed to let the student understand the main topic and to arouse their interests to know more about the listening material. Read after the tape can help them cultivate their listening and speaking ability.)

Step 4 Post-listening

Set a situation for student to talk with their partners and suppose they are in the shopping mall, one is the seller and the other is the buyer. let them make a conversation of selling and buying things using the sentences and words they’ve learned in this unit. They will do this task in 6 minutes and when they finish, invite some groups to present it in front of the class.

(Justification: It can help students develop their speaking skill and let them learn to cooperate when they have something to deal with. What’s more, it can help students to know that English is useful in our daily life and cultivate their learning English interests.)

Step 5 Summary and homework

Summary: Summarize the main idea of the listening material and review the sentence.

Homework: let students write a conversation about their buying experience. Introduce it in the next class.
