三、教学步骤
Step 1 Greeting and lead-in
1. Greeting
Daily greeting. Teacher can communicate with students by asking some simple questions. For example, “How are you today” or “How was your weekend?.”
2. Lead-in
At the beginning of the class, I will play a piece of music and show two pictures of the singer and guide my Ss to tell me the man in the picture is a singer.

Step 2 Presentation
1. With an exciting preview, in this part, first ,I will show four pictures of four kinds of jobs, at the same time, I will use the structure above to describe every picture. During this process, I will use the sentences “what does he do?” “He is a/ an …”.
2. Then ,I will guide Ss to take a little quiz to check whether my Ss have already recognize all the new words and the structure. I just let my Ss match three jobs with the pictures.
Step 3 Consolidation and Practice
1. Listening practice
I will play a piece of listening material to let Ss find out which jobs are mentioned.
2. Speaking practice
Ask Ss to talk with their partners(1 in one group). Ask question about their parents’ or grandparents’ job, using the sentences we have learnt today. Then ask some pairs to show before the whole class.
Step 4 Summary and Homework
1. Summary: ask Ss what we have learned today. The teacher can repeat them.
2. Homework: Make a survey: what do your parents do? What do they want to be?
