Modlue 4 Unit 1 Do you like meat ?
Hello ,everyone .Today, I’ll talk about New Standard English Book 2 , Module 4 , Unit 1 “ Do you like meat ?” In this unit, the students will learn how to describe oneself and others fondness. The useful expressions and words can be used to describe others fondness. Such topic is related to daily life, so it is helpful to raise the learning interest of students and it will also help to improve their spoken English.
As we know there isn't a long histroy that the Ss have learnt English in the primary school , so the main aims of teaching English is to cultivate the Ss’ abilities of listening, speaking and the abilities of communication and co-operation .So it is very important to develop their keen interest in English.
Ⅰ Teaching contents(教学内容):
1. The new words : rice , fish , noodles , meat , milk , pass and so on.
2.The new pattern: ——Do you like … ?
——Yes , I do ./ No , I don’t .
Ⅱ Teaching aims(教学目标):
1.The aims to the knowledge
a. To enable the Ss to read the new words and understand the meaning of the new words.
b. To help the Ss learn to the new pattern: “Do you like … ?” and “ Yes , I do ./ No , I don’t . ”
2. The aims to the abilities
a. To improve the Ss abilities of listening and speaking .
b.To encourage the Ss to communicate with the others using the new pattern .
3. The aims to the emotion
To arouse the Ss’ interest in English .
Ⅲ Teaching importances (教学重点):
1. To enable the Ss master the new words.
2. To enable the Ss to use the new pattern in groups and co-operate with the others.
3. To arouse the Ss’ interest in English.
Ⅳ Teaching difficulties (教学难点):
To enable the Ss to use the new pattern in groups and co-operate with the others.
Ⅴ Teaching methods(教学方法):
To cultivate the Ss’ abilities of listening , speaking , reading and 
writing , to increase the Ss’ ability of learning English by themselves and to arouse their interest . In this period , I’ll use the teaching methods below:
1. Communication method
I’ll set up a real situation . In this way , the Ss can say in pairs or in groups ,they can say freely and needn’t worry about making mistakes.
2. Task-based method 
That is to say I’ll let the Ss finish a task by making a short dialogue and acting it out .To help the Ss get a better understanding of the key structure.
Ⅵ Teaching aids(教学用具):
In this lesson, the CAI and some pictures will be used.
Ⅶ Teaching procedure(教学过程):
Step 1 Warmer up
1. Free talk .
2. Chant——The cartoon chant “I like coffee , I like tea.”
This step is to form a better situation for the students by singing and speaking .They will come into the real surrounding of English learning . And it can also review the learnt knowledge for the next step.
Step 2 Presentation
1. Learn the new words
a. I’ll show some pictures and learn to the new words : meat , fish , noodles , milk , pass and so on .
b. Play a game ——Guessing a game .I’ll take out one picture and let students guess “which word?”.
c. Students say these words quickly . “Who can get first ?”
With the help of the pictures ,it can arouse the Ss’ interest in learning English . A competition can encourage them to try by themselves and improve their ability of learning.
2. Learn the new pattern
a. The CAI will show one picture . Then lead in the new pattern .
b. Make a chant . Let the Ss act and say .
Do you like ,
Do you like ,
Do you like meat ?
Yes , Yes , Yes , I do .
Do you like ,
Do you like ,
Do you like fish ?
No , No , No ,I don’t .
This step I will use the CAI. They will be happy to try and be interested in learning English . And the acting will help them get a better understanding of the pattern.
Step 3 Practise
1. Work in pairs
2. Play a game : Drive a trine .
Ask them to make a dialogue with their partners , they can talk with other Ss . So they can talk freely in the class .This part is very important of the lesson . The Ss’ abilities of speaking and communication will be trained .Use the CAI to set up a real surrounding and encourage the Ss to communicate with the others .They can say loudly and freely .They will feel happy and successful during this part. By the way of communication, the Ss will understand the meaning of the structure better and master the knowledge firmly. 
Step 4 Consolidation
This part is the consolidation of the key structure and also is an extensive activity for the Ss . During this part , the Ss can think and say by themselves , they will be glad to use the knowledge that they have learnt , and their creative power will be trained.
Step 5 Homework
Do a survey
They can investigate others fondness .

Some key words and expressions are written to help Ss know the main contents of this class.
